Below is the Lindsborg, Kansas, Bethany College Messiah history of the earliest times that is found within this record album cover. It was composed by Director of Public Relations and Alumni Affairs Messiah historian writer A. John Pearson who worked with Delta Records to produce this album.
Mr. Pearson writes that, "This historical summary of the first 100 years of the Messiah Festival is presented with acknowledgement to Dr. Elmer Copley for research into the history of the Messiah Festival in his work "Messiah on the Plains, 1882-1976, A History of The Bethany Oratorio Society," and to Dr. Emory Lindquist for material contained in his book, "Bethan in Kansas: The History of a College" (Bethany College Publications, 1975).

The back cover of Mr. Sjogren's book reads:
"Let author Kenneth Sjogren take you on an historic journey through six decades of Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS. He'll guide you through first-hand accounts of her beloved presidents and halls; her tough times and miraculous triumphs. Gathered within are memoirs of Bethany that will be of interest to students and historians alike for years to come."
Without Mr. Sjogren's 2019 book, there would have been no ongoing story of the Bethany College Presidents that Mr. Pearson started for the College's Centennial Celebration in 1981. Together, now (8/10/20), Mr. Sjogren and Mr. Pearson have accounted for all of the Bethany College Presidents with the exception of Interim President Dr. Elizabeth Mauch holding this position since July 2019.
