2005, LYDIA'S Photography Exhibit at Birger Sandzén Memorial Gallery
In the late 1970s while visiting my mother, Lois Fry Cochran, at Sohlberg House in Lindsborg at 322 North First Street, I gave her a small box of scattered photographs I had found, for her to sort through. They had been taken by Lydia Sohlberg Deere in the early 1900s. She and my maternal grandmother, Nina Sohlberg Fry also had photograph album that we had also discovered earlier.
By 2004, after 7 years of work, I had finished the creation of a gallery of 130 of Lydia's photographs. They were enlarged, each found its home within a white and black double mat surrounded by a black frame. My sister, Melinda, and I drove the gallery from the Bay Area to Lindsborg.
Lydia's Gallery first appeared at the Brunswick Plaza Theater & Museum owned by Mrs. Kathi Patterson Monder. The name of the show was "A Flash of Lydia."
Later arrangements were made for 21 Bethany College photographs to be on exhibit at the Birger Sandzén Memorial Gallery for the College's 125th Founding Anniversary from October 15, 2005, to December 31, 2005. The title of this show was "Yesterday's Moments." This showing was an addition to the larger show " Bethany College 125th Anniversary Art Exhibition " showing 125 years of Bethany College art from its extensive collection.

Later in 2006 or 2007, The Village Tea Room & Art Gallery owned by Virginia Brunsell, and in early 2009 the Lindsborg Community Library run by Librarian Mrs. Karen Olson exhibited Lydia's photographs also. In 2007 to 2010 also saw the Sundstrom building front windows on Main and Lincoln Streets exhibiting Lydia's work with 8 rotating exhibitions thanks to Lindsborg City Manager Greg DuMurs.
Also, a couple of artists created their own renditions of Lydia's photographs, including renown Nebraskan John Blake Bergers.
