It is quite sad that Rev. Bror Carlsson (1901-1967) of Sweden was not able to have his 350-page manuscript in Swedish published when he finished it on November 4, 1955, and later to have this piece translated into English. His manuscript was on Rev. Dr. Olof Olsson (1841-1900), the founder of the Lindsborg Bethany Lutheran Church and the spiritual Lutheran founder of this city, to which he led his Värmland church colony in 1869. Additionally, Rev. Carlsson's manuscript was about the newly formed 1860 American Swedish Lutheran Augustana Synod.
Fortunately, decades later his son, author Mr. Alf Brorson, saw to it to condense the manuscript and copyright it in 1984. He furthermore saw to it that this version was translated from Swedish to English, was copyrighted and published in 2001. The translator was Rev. Martin Ringstrom (1908-2009), an Augustana Theological Seminary graduate who had retired in Lindsborg with his wife Louise Segerhammar, and the English version of "Jag Sökte Icke" in 2001 was given the new titled of "He Gave God Glory " "The Story of Olof Olsson" which is translated in Swedish to "Han Gav Gud Ära" - "Berättelsen om Olof Olsson."

On page 41 of Mr. Brorson's "He Gave God Glory," we read:
"During the years following his visit to the United States, Bror Carlsson raised funds for the purchase of a bust of Olof Olsson. He did this by different means, including giving lectures throughout the Karlstad Diocese.
"This bust, created by the sculptor Arvid Backlund* [1895-1985], may be seen in Rock Island, Illinois, Sunnemo, Sweden, and in Lindsborg, Kansas."
*[Sculptor Backlund was well-known and first discovered by renown Swedish artists Anders Zorn (1860-1920) and Carl Larsson (1853-1919).]
