2020, "Bethany Home Association" Changes Its Name to "Bethany Village" *
~ From the "Lindsborg News-Record:" September 3, 2020
On Tuesday, Sept. 1, Bethany Home Association announced it will evolve to the name, Bethany Village, bringing attention to an expanding range of senior living options from full independence to complete care.
“Bethany Home has enjoyed a strong reputation for long-term care and rehabilitation over 100 years, “Kris Erickson, CEO/Administrator said. “As we look to attract a new generation of seniors to our independent and assisted living residences, we need an overreaching name that encompasses our wealth of living options. “
Bethany Village is comprised of Bethany Home rehabilitation and long-term care center, The Cottages independent living residence, and Sunflower Terrace, the newly renamed, full-service (assisted) senior, living residence.
In addition to the updated name, the organization looked at its strengths to find a fresh message that would set it apart from other senior living options in the area.
"When we ask people about our strengths, they not only talked about outstanding care and our Lutheran heritage, but also about the creativity, arts and culture that we share here in Lindsborg," Jennifer Cantrell, Marketing Director, said. “We landed on the idea of 'The Art of Living' to help us capture this uniqueness."
Cantrell said, "There is a long history of tapping into the talents of residents and the rich arts and cultural life in Lindsborg. The organization plans to build on this foundation with additional creative activities, lifelong learning, and intergenerational opportunities.
“Our goal is to focus on opportunity and potential rather than difficulties, “Erickson said. “Whether you're a tinkerer, crafter, gardener, musician, quilter, or simply one who appreciates the world of creativity, we’re here to make your golden years as healthy and dynamic as possible."
The organization’s latest project, an addition that will double the number of assisted living residences at Sunflower Terrace, is scheduled to open in the spring of 2021.
