The Yale University's Bethany Club
From fourth Swedish American President Dr. Emory Lindquist's Bethany in Kansas, the history of a college, we read on page 27:
"...In 1893 Bethany graduates could enroll in the graduate schools of Yale and Chicago universities without any further studies of examinations.…
"Moreover, Bethany graduates were stimulated to pursue graduate and professional study. The Yale Alumni Weekly, in describing the organization of the Bethany College Club of Yale, reported in 1902: "This club is a very vigorous and active organization... There are now more graduates from Bethany College in the Yale Graduate School than from any other college, Yale excepted." Twenty-one Bethany graduates enrolled at Yale from the classes 1898-1902. Seven of the twelve graduates of the class of 1899 studied in the famous New Haven university."
