The AUDITORIUM portion of PRESSSER HALL was complete in the fall of 1928, and work was begun the following year on the studio wing.
When Pressor Hall was finished, it added much needed facilities for "Messiah" renditions, music studios, classrooms, offices, and rehearsal halls.

From 1908 through 1970, the locus of much campus scholarship was Carnegie Library--a building that still stands, although it is no longer used as a library.
For many years a campus drinking fountain between Old Main and Ling Auditorium/Gymnasium was a popular meeting place.
A 200 pound walnut plaque memorializing Dr. and Mrs. Pihlblad, created by Miss Rosemary Laughlin (now Mrs. John Bashor), was placed in Pihlblad Memorial Union when it was built two decades after Dr. Pihlblad died. [It reads, beginning with, "To THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF DR. ERNST F. PIHLBALD ... AND HIS WIFE, MARIE"]
